This project, designed as two menus with unique functions, reimagines the bold and genuine brand of Halal Guys. Originating in Astoria, NY, as a three-man-owned food cart, this business exemplifies the American dream. Founded by three Egyptian immigrant men, Halal Guys identified a need for Halal food in the bustling streets of New York, catering to the large Muslim population and taxi drivers seeking quick, healthy meals. Today, Halal Guys is a nationwide success.
The menu redesign draws from the origin story of Halal Guys, paying homage to the beginnings of the business and honoring their loyal customers. Elevated by a modern, clean design that reflects the company’s success and reach, the large menu is designed for in-location dining and as a large print exterior menu, while the smaller taxi menu is a die-cut handheld menu designed to be handed to bustling taxi drivers and other on-the-go customers.
